Please reach us at info@uhopecounseling.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
After you book a consultation call and decide to move forward with our services, you will receive an email that contains a link to your profile for my private practice. You will review and sign consent forms, and complete short questionnaires. During the initial appointment, you will be asked additional questions to learn more about your experiences. Then we will continue to meet regularly during scheduled sessions to start addressing the changes you want to see happen in your life.
The duration of therapy sessions at Uplift Hope Counseling is typically 50 minutes for individual therapy. The number of therapy sessions varies by each person. Clients who meet weekly tend to see improvement towards their goals sooner.
At this time, I only provide online therapy for adults in the state of Texas. We will meet via a secured video platform.
I am currently an in-network provider with Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare and Quest Behavioral Health. Your insurance can be verified during the consultation call and you will be informed of your financial responsibility.
For other insurances, you may have out-of-network benefits, which means that your insurance may reimburse you for the cost of your therapy sessions. We will first check to confirm you have out-of-network benefits. If so, we will use Thrizer, a payment application that processes your therapy claims, so that you are only charged your co-payment (once your deductible is met) for your appointments.
It is always recommended that you call your insurance company on your own to learn what your benefits will cover. Please note that by using your insurance, we are required to provide a diagnosis for your therapy sessions to be covered, and insurance can determine how many sessions you are allowed. Insurance may not cover services such as Career Counseling due to medical necessity requirement.
My current rate is $165 per individual session.
In accordance with the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate“ explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, providers and facilities need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for services. Make sure your provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your service. You can also request the Good Faith Estimate before you schedule the service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
